Marketing Intern

Medical Devices - Surgery or Orthopedics

 

(Jul 1 – Dec 31, 2023, Full time Internship, Monday- Friday)

(Non-Credit bearing internship (needs LOA) or Credit bearing)

 

 

Marketing Events Facilitation (Internal and External Stakeholders)

§  Artwork – assist with creating, designing and developing artwork designs and promotional materials, e.g. banners - to effectively communicate key selling messages

§  Trade Shows & Product Training Events - coordinate preparation for trade shows/conferences, prepare materials and be on-site to support Product Training events

 

Assist with New Product Launch

§  Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to prepare for new product launches

§  Conduct market research and provide relevant insights and updates of market intelligence on industry and competitors

§  Implement improvements for future programs to increase sales and profitability

§  Product and market development projects - assess feasibility of proposed new products or surgical innovations, conduct research on market and competitors, plan and assist in new product introductions, prepare new product sales support and presentation materials

§  Develop effective marketing plans and implement tactical marketing programs and messages in line with marketing plan

§  Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to prepare for new product launches

 

Assist with Marketing Collaterals Design

§  Research and understand the various medical and scientific terminology behind how marketing collaterals for Medical Devices are designed

§  Assist with designing of new marketing collaterals for Medical Devices by using the correct terminology and abide by the compliance regulations in place

§  Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to prepare the collaterals for new product launches

 

Business Strategy Support

§  Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to prepare for new product launch plans

§  Business data analysis e.g. sales analysis, call planning etc.

§  Develop knowledge of the medical industry and organizational processes

§  Secondary market research – competition analysis, data gathering, voice of customer projects, assess feasibility of proposed new products etc.

§  Pricing management support 

 

Ad-hoc Projects

 

 

Requirements:

§  Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint

§  Demonstrated ability to handle projects

§  Proactive team player

§  Conscientious with keen interest to learn

EVENT PLANNING

Gain exposure to the process of conducting marketing events and facilitate planning and execution of workshops, programs, courses and other related marketing activities.

BUSINESS ANALYTICS

Aid with sales data analysis to learn on how to draw insights into business performance/ metrics

PRODUCT LAUNCHES

Help with cadence process of planning for new product launches to understand the different processes involved

 

 

Faculty / Course Preferred:

Degree in Business with specialization in Marketing or Degree in Biomedical Engineering
