This role would involve:
Regional Data Stewardship (60%):
- Identifying available data sources / datasets with owners, refresh processes, quality (completeness, accuracy,timeliness) compliance, accessapproval process within the regional team
- Data Catalog:
- Finalise regional business glossary and manage change requests & approvals
- Catalog/document regional data assets, data flows and identify potential redundancies or inconsistencies or gaps
- Content tagging: Regional alignment, change request and approval process
- Data Governance:
- Maintain & prioritise & triage/address a regional data issue
- Set-up process to maintain regional request log
- Assist in organizing monthly market data stewards
- Data Quality:
- Pro-actively monitorthe quality of the data required for different regionalcapabilities on completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance:
- Develop a Data Quality rules register
- Work with the data owners so that these Data quality rules are well understood
- Requirements gathering for Collibra pilot, support technical implementation, UAT
- Build Data Quality dashboard
- Monitor ongoing Data Quality rules issues and drive to resolution
- Pro-actively monitorthe quality of the data required for different regionalcapabilities on completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance:
Regional Digital Asset Librarian (DAM Librarian) (40%)
- Ownership of regional brand portal
- Consolidate market content libraries into a regional brand portal which allows countries to access and share content across Asia Pacific (and ultimately across regions)
- Work with tech team to build and manage the configuration of the regional brand portal;
- Co-ordinating the markets to ensure they are uploading their content onto the regional brand portal; and
- Managing access, usage rights and expiry of content on the brand portal
- Consolidate market content libraries into a regional brand portal which allows countries to access and share content across Asia Pacific (and ultimately across regions)
- Oversight of taxonomy across the region
- Maintain oversight of the taxonomy across the region, manage change requests (to established taxonomy)and ensure an ongoing levelof visibility and consistency across the markets
- Work with regional IT and market data stewards to resolve issues as theyarise
Responsibilities would also involve:
- Ensure that systems and processes are in place to meet the regional data governance vision
- Assist in settingup regional guidelines for data governance, data management, dataflow, data transformation logic and data submission process
- Collaborate with market Data Stewards and IT where required
- Support regional projects implementation in evaluating data requirements & data structure, data mapping, conducting UAT, validating output from business perspective, and dataset maintenance
- Be a key contact for analytics & data science initiatives to explain where to find which data and assist with data integration/consolidationefforts
- Work closelywith key stakeholders: data science, regionalteam, IT architecture and business units
Desired Skills:
- Degree in any field with 5-7 years of Data Governance/ Management/ Steward experience
- Good understanding of data flow & lineage
- Have a key understanding of data structures and data modelling
- Have a key understanding of methodologies and data governance processes
- Preference for background / experience in Pharma / Biosciences
- Preferred tool skills: Excel (Advanced), SQL, Python, Tableau / Power BI, Collibra, etc.
